Two Boys…

It was a tough home group meeting tonight. Half the people came in late, nobody felt like sharing, I spoke up and a few others did, many did not. We ended the meeting 15 minutes early, and I walked home from the meeting with Ms. Louise.

I forgot to tell you how miserably HOT and MUGGY it is here right now… bring on Fall ALREADY!!!

I spoke to my friends about going to Compostela. They had never heard about it. Some of their questions centered around how long a journey it would be, and would I be able to complete the pilgrimage. And where would I find the money to pay for it. All good questions, and I will be working on this over the coming weeks.

I stopped by Zeller’s to buy some “stitch witch” to hem my new pants, and I was standing in line and a couple of people ahead of me were two boys buying pillows and blankets. (School is in session now all over the city and people are stocking up on housewares). So I was standing there and one of the boys walked up from behind me to his friend and ever so gently kissed him standing there in front of everyone in the lineup. I giggled to myself and thought, “you go boy!” He had a cute necklace on that was a pair of red sunglasses. Oh to be that young again…

School starts tomorrow. Sean Hardy is teaching Pastoral Ministry and Fr. Ray is teaching Christian Ethics this term. Now there are two things to get excited over for this term. YAY!!!

The Bible thumpers have descended into the blog again. Thank God for comment moderation and the delete key. You can come and read, but rest assured, your comments will never make it to air here. And might I add, if you take a post from this blog and post it on your own blog, please remember to cite the author of the post and where it came from. I had posted something from a text I was reading and I cited the author and page number of the book – but the person who lifted the piece, left out that citation for her readers…

God Exists… For all those bible thumpers who prayed rain down on the Obama campaign and his speech last week, there is a God, because the Republicans got fucked over by Gustav. With all this speculation and problematics over Sara’s personal life and the issues now under investigation, this is not good news for the GOP! YAY!!! Something is gonna give, and won’t it be a fine day when they fail to secure enough votes for the presidency. They are fucked… literally!!!

They say that Stephen Harper is going to pull the plug on Parliament in the next week. Let us pray. This is just going to be a nightmare. Stephane Dion is far from a leader we can count on in the Liberal Party. He isn’t Paul Martin or a Jean Chretien. And he is far from a Pierre Elliot Trudeau. Mr. Harper may get his majority government because the Liberals are in no shape to win or lead Parliament or the Nation. Jack Layton and the NDP might get a few more seats, but they won’t (once again) gain enough ground to make a run at a majority. We should pay attention to the Green Party. They are making great strides and may land a few more seats this go around which will be good for the country. If the Liberals win a majority, Canada is going to be facing a great big Carbon Tax and a Green Shifted Liberal Party. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I’m not sure.

But stay tuned to see if Stephen Harper gets to wash and dry his government well enough to be ready for a Democrat to win the Presidency of the United States. I think Stephen Harper wants his majority to be fresh and ready to welcome the next President of the United States to Canada.

All Hail Barack Obama…

Friend: Thank you. I get behind in reading, but today I was feeling down, discouraged, scared, and was questioning my reason for being here. I doubt my spirituality. This post really helped me get thru some sadness.

    Peace.
